Cancellation Policy for San Miguel Retreats
If for any reason, you cancel your registration, whatever money you have paid in deposit or balance is non-refundable. If you have to cancel, and can fill your slot with someone on a waiting list or a friend, we will refund 90% of your tuition. Apart from this condition, there are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, pandemics, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services). We are grateful for your understanding to have these policies in place on our end, and we are sorry for any inconvenience they may cause.
We will return deposits (minus any fees) made if we cancel on our end due to not meeting our five-student minimum. (this will be determined before any balances have been paid)
On the rare occasion that we need to cancel the retreat on our end, we first will attempt to reschedule the retreat or offer the participant a credit for a future retreat in San Miguel de Allende, organized by Linda Laino.
If rescheduling is not possible, we will make every reasonable effort to recover 90% of the tuition. However, we do not guarantee recovery of any or all of the advance payments made, depending how close to cancellation. In some but not all cases and depending on how close to your departure, we may have to reduce credit due to advanced payment to hotels and vendors for local excursions or dinners. For this reason, refunds will be handled on a case by case basis.
Also note that we need at least five students for the retreat to fill. For this reason, we strongly advise you to wait to hear from us before you purchase your airline tickets. Again, we recommend you purchase travel insurance for this reason. We are not responsible for any money lost for airline tickets due to purchasing too soon.
