I approach art-making as an investigation. My paintings never attempt to tell a story, but the narratives evolve as a by-product of my process and materials. Rooted in nature, I am drawn to images that contain both elegance and tension that also suggest multiple readings. I work exclusively on rice paper with mixed media including: watercolor, ink, gouache, graphite, charcoal mono prints, wax crayons, and pastels.
